Disaster Preparation & Response
Standing Strong When Severe Weather Strikes Northeast Mississippi
From severe spring tornadic activity along the Natchez Trace to paralyzing winter ice storms, Rural Community Development Agency provides rapid on-the-ground disaster relief, clearing, supplies, and rebuilding advocacy across Tishomingo and Prentiss counties.

Current Readiness Status: All Counties Monitored
Our disaster trailers and heavy equipment are stationed at the Iuka and Booneville dispatch yards. If severe weather is forecasted, our rapid responder team pre-deploys water distribution centers and fuel depots across both counties.
Comprehensive Disaster Capabilities
Tailored specifically for rural roads, isolated homesteads, and vulnerable community pockets that national agencies cannot reach immediately.
Immediate 24-Hour Dispatch & Communications
Auxiliary communications coordinated with Tishomingo County Emergency Management (EMA) and Prentiss County EMA during severe storms, tornados, and winter freezes.
Mobile Emergency Supply Staging
Tractor-trailer and cargo fleet loaded with bottled water, non-perishable meals, hygiene kits, industrial tarps, chainsaws, and portable power generators.
Emergency Roof Tarping & Debris Removal
Trained volunteer chain-saw crews clearing impassable rural roadways and securing storm-damaged roofs to prevent further structural water loss.
Vulnerable Resident Direct Outreach
Dedicated verification teams checking on isolated seniors, medically fragile citizens, and rural families without phone or grid access.
Tishomingo & Prentiss County Storm Readiness Protocol
We provide free preparedness seminars, storm radios, and emergency kit audits to rural churches, volunteer fire departments, and civic halls in Belmont, Burnsville, Booneville, Baldwyn, and Iuka.
